Foundation Ball
Mark your calendar for Saturday, March 16, 2013 for the Annual Foundtion Ball.
The 2013 Foundation Ball will honour Thomas J. Boecker for his forty years of service to Wilson Memorial Hospital.
The 2013 Foundation ball committee included: Scarlet Francis, Amy Gleason, Rhonda Keister, Melissa McDonald, Beth Roe, Linda Stewart, and Kiera Sullivan.
Following dinner, guests will enjoyed music for all types of dancing provided by DJ, Tony Brown. They also had the opportunity to participate in a raffle for a variety of outstanding prizes, bid on silent auction items, and purchase opportunities to win a gift certificate from the Harris Jewelry.
1994 saw the first annual Wilson Memorial Hospital Foundation Ball. Much like the golf outing, it began simply and has become a gala affair. This event has provided a venue to not only raise funds for Wilson, but also to honor and recognize long-time friends of the Hospital. Previous honorees have been Dan and Jill Francis, Herb and Nettie Schlater, Gene and Nila Elsass, and Richard Scott just to name a few. Proceeds from this event have increased Wilson's General Endowmment Fund.
All proceeds from the Charity Ball will be added to the Foundation’s endowment fund to provide future funding to ensure that the hospital continues to maintain the high level of service and technology. Over $431,200 has been raised through the annual gala event, since it was first established in 1994.
